Land Stewardship Centre of Canada has some cost share funding available for those property owners wishing to implement stewardship practices that conserve and protect the valuable natural assets, such as air, land, water, wildlife, associated with their properties. The resources can be found under their Green Acreages Program.

For information on issues commonly encountered at Alberta lakes, requirements of legislation along with the jurisdictional authority of other levels of government, and potential resolution of the issues, please see the Lake Stewardship Reference Guide.pdf The Guide is an on-going joint project between the Province of Alberta and Alberta Summer Villages Association (ASVA).

Awareness_to_Action.pdf This booklet profiles 15 amazing community stewardship groups that have been involved in a variety of inspiring environmental projects - from water quality monitoring to tree planting to hosting public information sessions. Each profile includes information on the group, their project, costs, sources of funding, and the challenges they overcame, with the hope that these ‘lessons learned’ will benefit and inspire people looking for help with similar projects.
